Pictorial Arts at the Dawn of the Renaissance

This exhibition is coordinated with a major international exhibition, “Entre Moyen Age et Renaissance France 1500,” organized by the Réunion des musées nationaux (Paris) and the Art Institute of Chicago. The museum exhibition takes place first in Paris (Grand Palais, October 6, 2010 to January 10, 2011) and then in Chicago (February 26, 2011 to May 30, 2011).  Our exhibition brings together approximately 45 diverse works that include manuscripts, Books of Hours, single leaves and cuttings, coffrets with early xylographs, and stained glass. The many themes our exhibition touches on--French Humanism and Royal Patronage, the Dominance of Paris, the Influence of Italy and the North, Other Centers, etc.—encourage a re-appreciation of the flourishing of the arts at the dawn of the Renaissance.  There is a fully illustrated catalogue describing all the works exhibited.

We will also teach one new way to respond resourcefully and identify new options. Come and enjoy having the support of our group of professionals to explore your strengths!

PSI trainers are opening the doors on Saturday mornings to respond to your questions and share tools for transitions. THE MODELING SESSIONS

Learn what successful people are doing right and how can you adopt their tactics! PSI is opening up our ongoing MODELING study group. We take one person who has a special skill and demonstrate exactly how they do it.

We literally make a model of what they do and show you how to transfer this to your life. Example: are you ever blocked from starting a tough project? Then come have a taste of what makes a happy, successful, and creative start. Learn how to model expert learning systems with a bright, kind, and collaborative group of people!

If YOU have a special skill or talent and wonder how you do it, or how to do it more effectively, then tell us about your talent and we may invite you to BE a MODEL. And if you have specific skills you would like us to demonstrate, then tell us what skills you want and we can schedule a MODEL event. Useful learning comes from modeling others who have a skill, PSI teaches you how to do this fast and effectively.

Come and join us on The Modeling Sessions afternoons! Or be welcome as well to join our Transition Tools morning for a special price!

What's your best way to negotiate?

What's your best way to negotiate? - With others? With yourself, as you set priorities?
Have you ever felt that you just don't get what you really want? Or that you have to accept less than what you deserve? Sometimes the first step to get what we really want is in the way we ask for it!

Negotiation is a crucial part of our lives. We do it all the time. Some cultures have even developed strong rituals around the arts of offering and accepting an exchange.
We use negotiation skills in job interviews, or to get a new contract, but not only! Sometimes we negotiate about which movie to see, or where to go to have diner…
This evening we explore how different parts of our minds negotiate on priorities. And get a glimpse the underlying biology within the brain. Parts of the brain some times disagree on what is important… or on what we perceive.
Did you know that our brain also negotiates internally to set priorities?
Together we'll explore the first steps to:

  • Get yourself "in tune" with what you really want
  • Find a way to put yourself "in the shoes" of another person
  • Avoid losing your motivation before you are satisfied
  • Find more win-win solutions

Enhance your IQ as you acquire the skills to obtain the best of the outcomes!
How this evening works? We gather each week to explore new communication techniques, and current research on how the brain works. Come on time to practice; then we socialize and have fun together.

Our members are bright, friendly and curious, and we share tea, soup and explorations. You are welcome to join us!

When? Tuesday January 19th - 19:15h
Where? We meet in a private home near metro Nation. Reserve by email or phone and we’ll provide the codes. Please confirm by January 19th by 15h

Do you ever get stuck?

Do you ever get stuck? Or blocked? Do you want to feel freedom and confidence to move more easily?

Is there a decision rolling around in the back of your head that you've been avoiding?

This Tuesday 26th evening jump start your brain -- as you try out innovate approaches to new problems. Feel energized and inspired! We have unusually interesting folks to practice with -- and that makes it much easier to warm up.

A common belief about creativity is that it's a "gift" - you either have it or you don't. But that's not true, creativity is a skill we can all build through practice. And a great place to start is through playing with others.

Learn to unleash your creativity by using your EQ (Emotional Intelligence) to tap into new resources. You'll discover how to

- Trigger motivation, boost your drive!

- Get new perspectives -- and get better results!

- Tackle a new or unfamiliar challenge

- Innovate and create new ideas and opportunities for yourself

- Overcome creative blocks and get "unstuck"

We'll practice playful new ways to expand your solutions. If you want to boost your creativity, whether to solve problems or stimulate artistic creativity, then join us for an evening filled with practical opportunities. Bring along some examples of when you get "stuck" and learn to make better friends with your brain.

How this evening works? We gather every week to explore new communication techniques, useful current research findings on how the brain works, and have fun together.

Our members are bright, friendly and curious, and we share tea, talk, and explorations. You are welcome to join us!

When? Tuesday January 26th - 19h

Where? We meet in a private home near metro Nation. Reserve by email or phone and we’ll provide the codes. Please confirm by January 26th by 15h.
